I’m Sorry I Couldn’t Make A Home For Us
By Jayn Dahan
I’m sorry I couldn’t provide the foundation
I wasn’t suited to build your house
Our crafts of architecture are too contrast
The doors didn’t provide effortless comfort
There weren’t enough windows to overlook the view
The paintings couldn’t conceal the damage on the walls
The light wasn’t bright enough for us to see clearly
The delicate structure wasn’t suffice to hold us both
The neighbourhood is filled with such a meddling crowd
Too much running around unknown streets
A never ending chaos without a trace of direction
I’m sorry I couldn’t trust the framework you set
It could’ve been the most beautiful estate
Instead of living we were fixated on fixing
It just wasn’t a house we both could live in
