Ya know, since it has been a pretty uneventful few months in Russia, Vladimir Putin’s political party found some free time to make this extraordinarily ugly flag to represent their “straight pride”.
Not only is the flag extremely tacky, it is actually a rip-off from an image used by a French “traditional marriage” advocacy group, La Manif Pour Tous.

Homosexuality is not expressly banned in Russia, but queer citizens are treated exceptionally poor. Homosexual “propaganda”, which can be as simple as a public kiss or hand holding, is against the law, and no protections exist for LGBTQIA Russians.
People on social media sounded off on this “straight pride” flag:
@FuckYaStevePena Who needs a 'straight pride' flag when everyone just waves around the country's flag?

Russia's new "Straight Pride" flag. Two things, sweeties:
1 Drab drab drab.

Ironically, some far-right conservatives have praised the flag, once again showing their tendency to like Russia’s slightly dictatorial leader more than our own American President.
