People have “taken to the streets” (i.e. called news outlets and complained on social media) about these “Minion” toys that children are receiving in their McDonald’s happy meal. Specifically, they are complaining about this little guy:

Apparently this specific caveman Minion has an interesting dialect of “Minionese” that sounds strikingly similar to some foul English words. McDonalds has issued the following statement:

“Minions speak ‘Minionese’ which is a random combination of many languages and nonsense words and sounds,” wrote Lisa McComb, Director, McDonald’s Media Relations. “‘Minionese’ has no translation to, or meaning in any recognized language. Any perceived similarities to words used within the English language are purely coincidental.”

People seem torn about whether the Minions are speaking nonsense, or cussing like sailors. NBC12, who aired this story, reported that their entire production team was totally split on whether the Minions were using naughty language or not.

So what do you think? Are these Minion toys cussing out our kids, or nah?

Listen for yourself:

What do you think??
