Make The World A Better Place With This One Thing

By

We all want to make the world a better place in some shape or form. We want to die knowing that we somehow made somebody’s life better.

However, there’s one misunderstanding. People assume that to make the world a better place, you need to impact millions of lives, and it’s only then that you will actually realize that you mattered.

That’s not true. If you want to make the world a better place by helping 1,000,000 people, then by all means, you do that. That’s an amazing thing to do, and it’s something you will definitely be proud of.

But… you don’t have to touch millions of lives to make the world a better place. You can touch 50, or 10, or 1, and you will have still succeeded in making Earth a little brighter.

Now, what’s this “one thing” I mentioned in the title. What’s this one thing that’ll make the world a better place even if you just touch one life in your entire existence?

It’s lifting people up. It’s encouraging them, making them feel special, smarter, and braver. It’s about motivating and inspiring and saying, “Fuck yeah, you can do it!” or “That was amazing!”

We all have people who inspire us, who push us to be a better person, and we love those people. We acknowledge them, and we appreciate them. So, why don’t you become that person?

You know the impact that “an inspiration” can have on you, so who says that you can’t have that impact on somebody else?

When you inspire someone to grow, to be better, or when you encourage someone or even just compliment that person’s work, you make the world a better place. How?

Because of this: you made an impact on them, and that impact may push them to do great things. Those great things might be building homes for homeless people, or rescuing dogs, or starting a business that helps teenagers figure life out, or anything.

It’s a chain reaction. Someone motivated you to inspire someone, you inspired someone, and they did something great, and now they’re making the world a better place, but that wouldn’t have happened unless you’d spoken up.

Don’t underestimate the power of lifting someone’s confidence. When we tap into our confidence, we’re unstoppable, and that can lead to amazing things.

Tell someone they write wonderful stories. Tell someone they sing like an angel. Tell an aspiring fashion designer that you love the outfit they put together. Tell your best friend that she’s going to become the greatest chef of all time.

Lift up everyone around you! It’s easy, and there’s no harm in it. It makes the world a better place because when we’re inspired, we become forces to be reckoned with. We do things to help others, and then it keeps on going. It’s a never-ending cycle.

Use your words, and make the world a better place with this one thing.
