Why You Keep Giving Him Second Chances He Doesn’t Deserve

You keep giving him second chances he doesn’t deserve because the alternative is leaving him. It’s deciding you’ve had enough and are no longer going to put up with his bullshit. It’s putting him in your past and carving out a brand new future for yourself.

You keep giving him second chances he doesn’t deserve because you aren’t ready to give up on him yet. You aren’t ready to move on. You aren’t ready to say goodbye.

You keep giving him second chances he doesn’t deserve because you’re trying your hardest to see things from his side. You understand he’s been stressed lately. You understand he was in a toxic relationship before meeting you. You understand his relationship with his parents is strained. You understand he had a tough life. You understand he’s doing the best he can.

You keep giving him second chances he doesn’t deserve because you’re hoping your love is going to change him. You’re hoping he means it when he says he’s never going to hurt you again. You’re hoping he’s going to realize how close he came to losing you for good and will never make the same mistake again. You’re hoping this fight was the last fight. You’re hoping everything will be different this time around.

You keep giving him second chances he doesn’t deserve because you’re allowing him to manipulate you. Whether he realizes what he’s doing or not, he uses his emotions to soften you up. You see him break down in tears and completely forget about your own tears. All you want to do is comfort him. You want to make him feel better. You want to forget anything bad happened and move forward with a fresh start.

You keep giving him second chances he doesn’t deserve because you’ve invested so much time and energy into him. Leaving him would make you feel like you wasted years of your life. Not to mention, it would be embarrassing to admit your relationship failed. It would be humiliating to go back on the market again. You don’t want to deal with the fallout from a breakup. You don’t want to admit you spent this long with the wrong person.

You keep giving him second chances he doesn’t deserve because it’s easier to stay. Even though you keep getting hurt, you’re used to the pain by now. You’ve handled it before and you could handle it again. But you don’t think it will happen again. You think you’ve really gotten through to him this time.

You keep giving him second chances he doesn’t deserve because you’re lying to yourself. You’re telling yourself it’s going to get better. You’re telling yourself he’s going to change. You’re telling yourself there’s no harm in staying, in giving him one more chance, but there is harm in staying.

If you stay with him, you’re going to end up unhappy.

If you stay with him, you’re going to end up settling.

If you stay with him, you’re going to end up regretting it. TC mark
