The Ugly Truth About Liking Someone Completely Off-Limits

When you like someone completely off-limits, you feel guilty daydreaming about them. You will get caught up in a fantasy about flirting with them, running your fingers across their chest, pressing your lips against their neck, and then snap back to reality and remind yourself that is not okay. That is never going to happen so there is no reason to even think about it.

When you like someone completely off-limits, you know there is no sense in chasing after them because they are never going to become yours. They are always going to be out of your reach.

When you like someone completely off-limits, you never know how to act around them. You are tempted to scoot closer to them and send flirtatious texts, but you do not want to step passed any invisible boundaries. You do not want to hint at how much you like them because it would only make the situation messier. It’s better that they have no idea what runs through your head when you look at them. It’s better that they are completely oblivious to your feelings.

When you like someone completely off-limits, you hate yourself for having such unfortunate taste, but at the same time you kind of enjoy the adrenaline, the wrongness, the taste of forbidden fruit. That is why sometimes you push your luck. Even though you know you should work on getting over them, you talk to them. You joke around with them. You flirt with them. You will see how far you can take things until it gets out of hand.

When you like someone completely off-limits, you are worried about your secret being exposed. You’re not even sure if you should tell your closest friends because you do not want them to judge you, you do not want to hear their warnings to stay away because this person is a bad idea, you do not want the lectures. You feel like you have to hide how you feel, even around the people you usually tell everything.

When you like someone completely off-limits, you know you are wrong. You know that you should not be feeling the way that you feel — but you cannot help yourself. You cannot stop yourself from falling for someone. Your feelings are out of your control. You cannot erase them. You can only cope with them.

When you like someone completely off-limits, there are times when you wonder what the hell is wrong with you. When you wish your heart beat differently. When you desperately want to develop feelings for someone who is able to give you what you need, someone who likes you as much as you like them, someone who is actually available.

When you like someone completely off-limits, you feel like you are stuck in place. You feel like there is no way to move forward. You feel like your only option is to get over this person as soon as humanly possible because you are never going to have them. TC mark

This is me letting you go

If there’s one thing we all need to stop doing, it’s waiting around for someone else to show up and change our lives. Just be the person you’ve been waiting for.

At the end of the day, you have two choices in love – one is to accept someone just as they are and the other is to walk away.

We owe it to ourselves to live the greatest life that we’re capable of living, even if that means that we have to be alone for a very long time.
