Sometimes Bad Timing Makes A Big Difference

Some people like to claim that love transcends everything. That if someone wanted to be with you, if they did not want to miss their chance with you, then they would find a way to make a relationship work with you right away. Even if they had baggage. Even if they were living miles away. Even if they were not in a good place at the moment.

But if someone cares about you more than they care bout taking ownership of you, if they realize they are not ready to accept your love and are not able to show their love in a way that you deserve, then walking away from you is the decent thing to do. It does not prove you are not enough for them. It proves the opposite. It proves they are putting you before themselves.

Sometimes, relationships take time to develop. Sometimes, you will meet the right person for you but they will enter your world at the wrong time. At a time when they are heartbroken over their last relationship and too emotionally damaged to date. At a time when they are struggling to progress with their career and are too busy to give you the time and attention you deserve. At a time when they are mourning a loved one and are not in the mindset for romance because they are too busy self-destructing.

Despite what some people say about making sacrifices for the person you love and making time for someone if they are actually important to you, timing does matter.

You could meet the love of your life at the worst possible moment and miss out on years that you could have spent living happily together. And that is not your fault. You cannot blame yourself when timing gets in the way, because the problem was out of your hands. You didn’t do anything wrong. Neither of you did anything wrong. Sometimes, shit just happens.

But the thing about timing is that if they are the right person for you they will end up returning to your world. You will end up together eventually. You will cross paths again.

When the timing is right, you will pick up where you left off. You will say sorry for all of the wasted time you spent apart. You will wish things could have turned out differently, but since you cannot change your past you will work on changing your future. The future you are going to share.

When the timing is right, you will be able to love each other the way you wanted to the first time. You will be able to jump headfirst into your relationship without any barriers blocking the way.

Sometimes, timing can put your love story on hold, but if you are meant to be together, then you will find your way back to each other. You will make things work as soon as outside factors change. As soon as you are ready to love each other the way you deserve.
