I’m an American, and I remember watching this documentary chronicling two overweight British women visiting older, overweight women in Mississippi, which at the time of the documentary was the fattest state in the country.
They sat down to the first dinner-pigs feet, pig ears, and chitlins.
They couldn’t understand that. They couldn’t fathom eating it, and it grossed them out.
From that, I surmise that this is a delicacy that you wouldn’t find anywhere else but in America.
