In 2017, I Was Given A Second Chance At Love

Imagine falling for someone so bad that even though years have passed and the possibility of crossing paths with each other seemed hopeless, your interest remains unchanged. And after so long, imagine yourself finally having that someone, there would be no words to give justice to that state of bliss.

I guess Paulo Coelho is right, “And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”

Trust me when I say that it is the grandest feeling you would ever get and I’m not even exaggerating. I know it because recently, a dream of mine came true – to have a second chance with you. After all this time, it’s still you who I’m dreaming of, and now that you finally reached for my hand, it all feels so surreal.

In 2017, I got a second chance with the love of my life. I got a second chance with a once in a lifetime kind of soul, a once in a lifetime kind of love.

There are times that I still can’t believe you are here and we finally made us happen.

Every time I see you, I am being reminded of how sure I am and how happy you are causing me to feel. Every time you look me in the eye, I am being reminded of how much I want to spend the rest of my days with you. Every time you laugh, I’m being reminded how much I want to hear it every chance I get. Every time we are in a bad place, I am being reminded of how much I would fight just to keep you, how much I would never resort to giving us up.

In 2017, my what-ifs have been answered. I have been blessed that you returned my love and I get to call you mine officially. How many times do we get a shot at second chances? I really do not know if there is a definite answer. But you know what I’m sure of? I’m not wasting mine. I’m not wasting you.
