In case you missed it, everyone’s favorite singing rapper broke a Billboard Music Awards record by taking home 13 honors, beating out previous record holder, Adele. The Toronto cutie was obviously rightfully stoked and took to Instagram to share his trophies. Because that’s just what one does when they break a record.

Unless you are my Grandma or been hibernating for the past year (jealous), you’ve probably heard about 13 Reasons Why, the Netflix smash hit that has everyone talking. From serious criticisms from mental health professionals to fans ferociously jumping to its defense, everyone seems to have an opinion on the Selena Gomez produced series.
So you might ask yourself, what does a show that centers around suicide, rape, and a ton of other triggering and painful subjects have to do with Drake cleaning up at the BBMAs?

Drake, I love you. “Controlla” still makes me (try to) grind all up on my seat when I’m driving and traffic is slow. But DUDE?! Poor choice for a caption.
