Angela Kukawski, 55, had been reported missing from Sherman Oaks on Dec. 22, according to police. A day later, on December 23rd, the LAPD grew suspicious, and LAPD officers contacted Simi Valley police around 2 a.m. to tell the local department they were coming into town to investigate a murder. Little did they know, they would find Angela’s body in the trunk of ex-boyfriend’s, Jason Baker’s car. Baker killed her at home before driving the car and fleeing. Local prosecutors allege Baker acted “with the intent to cause cruel and extreme pain and suffering for the purpose of revenge, extortion, persuasion and for a sadistic purpose.”
According to the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office, Kukawski suffered blunt force trauma and strangulation. Baker was booked into Van Nuys Jail and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed murder and torture charges against him, and set his bail at 3 million dollars.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan released a statement to People Magazine paying tribute to their former manager, stating
“Angela was truly the best. She cared about every one of us and made things happen that were impossible…She will be greatly missed and we send our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”
