Andrew Rector, the sleepy 26-year-old man, was caught on camera dozing off during a Yankees – Boston Red Sox game.

You can see just how cozy he looks napping during the fourth inning.

From The Smoking Gun:

ESPN announcer Dan Shulman referred to the sleeping fan as “oblivious,” while John Kruk, the network’s color commentator, noted that the ballpark was “not the place you come to sleep.” Shulman also wondered whether the fan had slept through a third inning home run by Yankee Carlos Beltran (which, Shulman said, prompted the crowd of 45,000 to “stand up and cheer”).

Rector has since filed a lawsuit against ESPN for causing emotional distress. The suit also names the Yankees and MLB.

The video above triggered viewers to comment disparaging comments towards Rector, yet he names the announcers as the instigators.

According to The Smoking Gun, the Yankees are still in his favorite sports teams on his Facebook profile.
