This Is As Florida As It Gets: 911 Call Transferred To Voicemail After Florida Man Calls For Help

In the great state of Florida, it appears that if you call 911, you get sent to voicemail. Is this to weed out people or just oversight by law enforcement?

The man called 911 after four armed robbers entered his home, demanding money and prescription drugs.

The dispatcher tried to patch the call through to 911, but instead was met with an automated voice messaging system.

The man took matters into his own hands and eventually shot one of the robbers. His wife and stepmother were harmed by the retreating robbers and the man ultimately wasn’t able to stop the theft.

At the time of this writing, three of the four robbers have been arrested. TC mark
