Double Tornadoes Completely Destroyed This Nebraska Town

Two tornadoes touched down around the town of Pilger, Nebraska, leaving behind destruction and at least one death. One of the tornadoes, according to Stanton County Commissioner Jerry Weatherholt, destroyed half of the town.

Reports say that at least 31 people are injured, including 16 in critical condition, and that one person is dead. Hospitals are bracing for more injured to enter the premises as the night went on.

Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman declared a state of emergency today, allowing him to move the Nebraska National Guard into the tornado-affected areas for immediate response. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
