Eight People Went Missing On The Saint Lawrence River And I Know What’s Happened To Them

I inherited a camp up in Alexandria Bay last year. It was already renovated out the ass, so I didn’t have to do much work. My mom helps me pay for it, but she rarely goes up there anymore. I go up there whenever I feel the need to clear my head.

I should probably make it known that my camp isn’t on one of the islands. It’s an average house up in Chippewa bay. It’s only a few hundred feet in front of the St Lawrence. Have you ever fished on your boat at four in the morning? You get some damn fine fishing done.

Two summers ago, eight people went missing on the river. Three different boats, three different dates. July 6th, July 21st, and August 8th. They all disappeared near Bear island. The boats were found floating with nobody in them each time.

The police looked for them up until October 28th of that year, when each case were declared as accidents. It even became a mini international incident, since three of the missing were Canadian citizens. The case pretty much closed around February of this year. Their families still put up fliers, but nothing came of it.

But I believe what I found last Sunday proves the missing people didn’t just fall off the face of the earth. Here’s why.

This past Sunday, at 8 in-the-morning, I went down to the docks to do some fishing. To my surprise, on the dock sat an abandoned canoe. It was a good 12-footer, so I was surprised that it had been abandoned. I inspected it further and under one of the seats hid a plastic box. On the box was a sticky note, and written on it was: “SPREAD HIS WORD.” I opened the box and saw a single DVD. I skipped fishing and took the DVD back to my camp.

As a side note, I should say that I use the notes in my phone as a journal, so everything written past this point has been copied and pasted from there.

Description of video: The text “The Great Serpent rises for us all” sits on screen for 20 seconds and fades. Scene one: Eight people are on their knees with black bags over their heads. Behind each one stands a person wearing a suit and a white full-face masquerade mask. The person standing behind the smallest person (guessing a child) pulls their mask up just so their mouth is exposed. This person has a darker complexion from what I see. He begins to yell.

“HE HAS RISEN FOR THIS OCCASION! IT IS OUR DUTY TO FEED THE SERPENT!”

The woman at the end on the left side, in a black bikini, tries to squirm forward, but the person behind her punches her in the back of the head and drags her back to him. He holds her shoulders so hard that I hear her whimper. The man next to him pulls his mask up just like the middle person. He is standing in front of what looks like an old man.

“BENEATH OUR MURKY WATERS COMES THE SERPENT! APPEASE HIM!”

Every suit begins to scream “APPEASE HIM!” One of the shorter suits pulls up their mask, it seems that it’s a rather pale woman.

“FROM THE DEPTHS OF OUR KINGDOM HE SHALL RISE TO RECLAIM HIS STAKE IN THIS WORLD.”

A man in board shorts tries the same thing that the woman did, he gets a bit farther and it takes two of the suits to drag him back. Then, out of nowhere I hear an offscreen woman yell.

“HE HAS RETURNED!”
