There Is Beauty In Weakness

“That’s the thing about pain, it demands to be felt.” – John Green

A lot of people watch sad movies but they experience it differently. For some, the story ends as the screen goes black and for the remaining few, the scenes follow them home.

Why does this happen? Why does a needle feel like a sword to some and a mere bee sting to others?

Why is there such a huge variation between these two types of people?

We can’t exactly pinpoint the reasons for why certain people feel things a little too deeply but we know why it’s a good thing.

I used to think that there’s something gravely wrong with me before because my eyes leaked liquid like water from a broken faucet, and there was this flood of emotions that I thought I would have drowned in but darling, I learned how to swim , and so can you.

You may sometimes feel fragile, like petals on a flower that’s bound to wither someday. Or you may feel like you’re always walking on thin ice which may give up on you any moment. You may wear your heart on your sleeves for others to violate.

With all the quotes and posts out there, revolving around strength and seizing the day, we forget how important it is to be vulnerable at times.

The very essence of being a human being lies in these intensified emotions. When an infant comes into this world, a cry is what the doctors wait for, to make sure that the baby is alive.

Pain is a reminder if our existence on Earth. It is one of the truest feelings. Allow yourself to break down, scream, shout and weep. These emotions come from a place which is true. Our soul is a part of the universe and we do not have the power to control something as vast as the universe.

Imagine you’re soil – and pain is the plastic waste that you keep deep inside, but cannot recycle. It needs to come out. It needs to be exposed to the sunlight. And you have to let the wind carry it away from you.

Then you will notice how beautifully, the flowers inside you bloom. TC mark
