If You’re Really In Love, It Should Look Something Like This

By

Love isn’t all rainbows and butterflies. Love isn’t always a happy ending. Love isn’t always about cheesy lines, cuddles on the couch, kisses and hugs. True love is tolerating annoying the hell out of each other, but at the end of the day, it’s just going to be him, and only him.

True love is seeing each other’s flaws and accepting them for who they really are. True love is choosing your own poison, that one person for the rest of your life. True love means apologizing from the bottom of your heart because you hurt her, you hurt her feelings; no buts, no ifs, no explanations, just a sincere apology and a hug.

True love means comforting her when she’s crying – a pat on the back, a tight hug, a forehead kiss. It doesn’t matter how big your gesture is, as long as you know she’s hurt and crying, you leave everything behind, hug her tightly, and wipe away her tears. True love is simply putting away your pride during arguments. It sometimes mean that you have to shut up, let it go, kiss her, and take all the hurt away.

True love doesn’t lie big time nor seek permission 24/7. It simply means informing her about your whereabouts just so she knows. True love involves trust. True love is an open communication; not endless guilt-trips, never reverse psychology. True love is when you always think of that person’s happiness; you become selfless and just think of ways on how to make your partner happy. It’s all about their happiness, their feelings and not just yours anymore.

True love is when you don’t hide big secrets from her – not deleting a conversation thread on your phone, not hiding your phone, and not getting mad when she wants to borrow your phone. True love is showing her that you truly love her and you’re scared to lose her.

Lastly, true love is showing her that she doesn’t need to be submissive, that she can be herself and at the end of the day, you, as a guy, will be there to reassure her, understand her and make her happy even if it you have to do a million times.
