Leave Your Comfort Zone Behind

By

One of the hardest parts about growing up is learning how to not let your self-doubt control you. It’s so easy to come up with reasons why you think you can’t be successful at something, but the truth is, you will not know unless you get out there and try. It’s important to remember that you don’t have success without experiencing some type of failure. You shouldn’t let the fear of failing stop you from putting your energy into something you might potentially enjoy.

I know it’s very hard for people to step out of their comfort zone and take a risk on themselves. I also know that not much happens when you only stay where you feel safe. The point of this life is to do something that will make you happy, and if you’re unhappy with where you are in this moment, why stay? The only thing that is truly stopping you from doing something new is yourself.

Please know that it takes time to build the courage to move past where you’re comfortable. It can be very hard to motivate yourself, but you must be encouraging and willing to push yourself in ways you never imagined possible. I truly believe that life happens when you step out of your comfort zone.

I don’t mean you have to dive headfirst into something that you would absolutely never do, or into something that petrifies you. Take it one step at a time; every day, week, or month, try to do something you usually wouldn’t. Show yourself that stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t terrible and you’ll eventually gain momentum to do more of the things you once found yourself hesitant to try.

You can easily come up with a million reasons why something might go wrong or you can show yourself just how much you can accomplish once you push yourself a little. The more you push yourself, the easier it will eventually become, and you’ll find yourself wondering why you were so scared in the first place.

You learned to crawl before you knew how to run. Remember to take it slow and let the rest fall into place.
