Sufjan Stevens Is Releasing A New Album, Listen Here

By

Sufjan Stevens hasn’t released an album in five years. Half a damn decade. I didn’t realize how much I missed his certain kind of sadness until I played the trailer for his new album, Carrie & Lowell.

According to Pitchfork, the album is named after his mother & stepfather, and the songs are about “life and death, love and loss, and the artist’s struggle to make sense of the beauty and ugliness of love.” Bring me that mellow indie drama, Sufjan. I’m here for it.

You can check out the tracklist—and what appears to be a love letter of a review by Hilton Als—here on the album’s website.
