It’s All For Love

Have you ever been crazy, madly, deeply in love with someone? The kind where you want to spend every minute of everyday with that person and your mind is constantly flooded with thoughts of them? Isn’t it crazy how as humans we crave a love so deep we can’t even fully comprehend?

Love changes you.

We have all heard one or two good love stories in our lives. The kind that makes us go, “dang they really are the lucky ones.” I however have heard the greatest love story ever told. It goes like this.

Love came down to set us free. Love endured our punishment and took upon what it did not deserve for our sake. Love endured a cross because it was committed in love.

People say the cross is a sign of how much man is worth. That’s not true, the cross is a sign of how depraved we really are. That it took the death of God’s own son. The only thing that could save people like us, was the death of God’s own Son under the wrath of His own Father; paying the price that was rightfully ours, rising again from the dead. Powerful to say, this is the Gospel of Jesus.

He took the cross for our shameful addictions, our hurt, our pain, our lack of purpose, our constant insecurity, our restless hearts, our need to fill void with empty things. We can run straight into His arms unafraid because every time we meet Him we are met by love. He would go so much further to keep us in His love. After all, everything He does is all for love.

He died for me, knowing I might not ever want him. What a savior. What a love.

I’ll live for that.

I’ll live for love.
