It’s Time To Build A Life You’re Proud Of

Life is something everybody should be thankful for, it is a temporary bliss. It becomes more significant when you realize the simple fact that you’ll never get the same moment twice. The truth is that the world isn’t really as it is, but as we see it and we see it differently. I once read a Life Quote, it says; “But the most beautiful things in life are not just things. They’re people, and places, memories, and pictures. They’re feelings and moments and smiles and laughter.”

Happiness never comes to those who have refused to appreciate what they already have.

Some days we have to be content and enjoy the things that we have because life is fast changing. We wouldn’t know what tomorrow may bring, it might be gone in a blink of an eye. Never let anxiety fool you into thinking you’re not good enough for something. Never let stress fool you into thinking that you can’t achieve your God given dreams.

Never let sadness convince you that you’re not loved or there’s something wrong with you. Never let loneliness fool you into thinking that this is how you will be for the rest of your life. Never let fear control you but know that it is not a bad thing, you just need to learn to manage it or else none of your dreams will become.

You can be stunned, awakened, and changed by what happens to you, but choose to grow from it, and refuse to be reduced by it.

What am I trying to say? What I am trying to say is that age is not an excuse for you to do stupid and idiotic things. Do things that make you positive, be ambitious, be driven, and start acting hungry for your goals. Life doesn’t have a “try again” button. What I am trying to say is build your life into something you won’t regret when you turn 60 years old, a life that something you will be proud of.

Partying all week, drinking excessively, and smoking packs per day won’t do anything except ruin your life. Life is not some highway wherein you can go on a long road trip and if you’re lost, you’ll pull over and make a U-turn. It is not a travel destination that you can just go back and forth if you want to. It is not your favorite playlist in Spotify wherein you can shuffle or pick your favorite music. Life is nothing like that, it is real.

Challenges, shortcomings, mistakes, and flaws are life’s confetti. It makes everything colorful after it passes, lessons are learned, and change is accepted.

These are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful. You must learn a new way to think before you can master a new way to be. The most important decision you will ever make is what you do with the time that is given to you. Take chances, take a lot of them and never regret a single one. Honestly, no matter where you end up and what you end up in a long run, mistakes make who you are. You learn and grow with each choice you make, everything is worth it and be okay with it.

Remember to live, let yourself be drawn to the strange pull off your burning desire because somehow it will lead you astray. There are far, far better things up ahead than any we left behind. Trust the timing of your life, surrender your life to God for he will not forsake you. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
