Let’s start with something basic that most people do know, but if you don’t, it’s going to change the way you see this family: Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashians were close friends with O.J. Simpson and Nicole Brown Simpson when they were all married (respectively). Robert went on to defend Simpson, who was accused of murdering Kris’ good friend, Nicole Brown Simpson. Although he was an attorney, Robert Kardashian did this as a favor to his friend, it had been over 20 years since he had last practiced law. In the days following the murder, O.J. stayed at the Kardashian’s home.
Kendell Jenner’s middle name is “Nicole” after Nicole Brown Simpson.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians wasn’t the first time the participants were on reality TV. Bruce Jenner’s sons, Brandon and Brody (as well as then-BFF Spencer Pratt) were on a short-lived reality show called Princes of Malibu in 2005. The show centered on the spoiled lives of the southern Californians. Despite being cancelled after airing only two episodes, Brody and Spencer went on to be cast members of The Hills and Brody had his own elimination reality show, Bromance. In 2004 Kourtney was on a reality show called “Filthy Rich Cattle Drive.”
When she was 14 Kim’s dad sent her to beauty school so she could learn how to do her makeup.
Kourtney got breast implants for her 22nd birthday.
After placing 10th in the Decathalon in the 1972 Olympics, Bruce Jenner became one of the first people to devote his full time schedule to training (now a common practice). He trained 8 hours a day and sold insurance on the side to support himself. At the next Olympics, he won the gold medal.
