This Video Of The Roots, Jimmy Fallon, And Miley Cyrus Singing “We Can’t Stop” Acapella Will Make You Love Miley Again

Even if you go into the video thinking to yourself “Don’t enjoy this, please don’t think this is awesome, I don’t want to remember that I used to love Miley as much as I did,” there is no way you can’t enjoy it. It seems that — between this and Robin Thicke’s adorable children’s instrument version of “Blurred Lines” — Jimmy Fallon might have the Midas touch when it comes to making controversial/overexposed artists and their songs seem fresh and charming again.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to listen to this on repeat for the rest of the day. (Also, please appreciate Questlove’s face when Miley talks about getting a line in the bathroom, because it may be the best part of the video.) TC mark

Trace the scars life has left you. It will remind you that at one point, you fought for something. You believed.

“You are the only person who gets to decide if you are happy or not—do not put your happiness into the hands of other people. Do not make it contingent on their acceptance of you or their feelings for you. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if someone dislikes you or if someone doesn’t want to be with you. All that matters is that you are happy with the person you are becoming. All that matters is that you like yourself, that you are proud of what you are putting out into the world. You are in charge of your joy, of your worth. You get to be your own validation. Please don’t ever forget that.” — Bianca Sparacino
