5. Deplorable Formatting

No concept of formatting. I understand you might not be good at it, but at least make some sort of effort in making your resume readable.

6. Typos

A typo is usually the worst mistake that would turn me off an employee. But usually one is the limit and if they’re really qualified I’d call them in anyway. People make mistakes.

Also when it was my job to hire new guys I’d immediately throw it out if they put their personal email on there. “John.Smith@hotmail.com” is usually what we’re looking for “cuntdestroyer7000@vampirefreaks.com” is what’s getting your resume passed by. You’d be surprised how many college grads would make this mistake (of course that was back during my retail days).

7. Their Scent

Scent—every time. Too much perfume/cologne.

8. White Socks With Black Shoes

Don’t wear white socks with black shoes and dark trousers ya fucking walloper. Unless you’re applying for our role as “Chief Michael Jackson Impersonating Officer.”
