6 Simple Things You Can Do To Better Your Day

Sometimes we make life way more complicated than it has to be. Here are a few tips to make your life a little less complex.

1. Wake up on the right side of the bed

Get a good night’s rest. It is terrible that we cannot function properly in the morning and it ruins our day. Each night, try to get a few more minutes of rest, or use your weekends to sleep in—just be sure not to oversleep.

2. Breathe

Whatever you are feeling at the moment, just close your eyes. Take a deep breath through your nose and slowly release the air from your mouth. Do this for two to five minutes at your desk between tasks or before going to bed. Just empty your mind. Take the moment to feel present.

3. Drink water

We often forget how important this basic necessity is. Hot water is good for you also because it is a detox for your body. Try tea too. There are so many different flavors out there and there is definitely one for you.

4. Treat yourself to a little bit of sugar

Whether it is a piece of chocolate or a kiss from a loved one, add something sweet to your day. Do not depend on sugary drinks that add calories and unnatural energy.

5. Push the negativity

Ignore the toxic people in your life. They are wasting their life creating issues, and you should not waste your life having to deal with them. Even if you feel you cannot ignore the feeling, just push the unnecessary thought of them. Do not let them take up any of your time.

6. Spread some kindness

Do the simplest things, like thanking your barista or bus driver. Hold the door and smile. The world needs some kindness, and it could start with you. Kindness will be returned back to you. TC mark
