Let Go Of What Was, Accept What Is, And Look Forward To What Will Be

By

Maybe you need to let go of what was so you can take another step ahead. There’s nothing for you in the past—you don’t live there anymore.

No matter how strong the longing to go back to how things were, there’s only moving forward. It can be the hardest thing to do, letting go.

It will take a while, that’s for sure. So be patient with yourself. You’ll get there eventually.

I know there’s comfort in looking back, in thinking of the good days, and that’s okay. If it helps you get through the day, let it. But do not allow yourself to get stuck.

The past is there to remind us of lessons, to give us perspective, and to allow us to see how far we’ve come.

But it’s not supposed to be our present.

Accept what is. Accept the life you have, right at this moment. You might be in a situation you never thought you would be, But this is it for now. You gotta get through and push further.

You have to notice the things that make you feel grateful. Even the smallest or simplest ones. You have to see that there are good people around you, people who inspire you to pursue whatever your heart is propelled to.

There are too many beautiful places to explore as you find yourself and what you want. There are experiences worth chasing and passions worth pursuing.

You just have to open your eyes to the possibilities of what this present can bring into your future.

Look ahead to the future and be excited about knowing that you can create one. Yes, believe it or not, you do have the power to shape a tomorrow you will love.

It may be easier said than done, but no one said it’s impossible. Believe in your dreams, in your visions. Even if it isn’t clear as day now, never give up on yourself.

Someday, somehow, you’ll wake up with this light feeling in your chest, and by then you will be sure what path you’re supposed to follow.

One day, you’ll be in a place you’ve always dreamed of.

In New York during the winter, sipping hot coffee in a lowkey cafe near Central Park. Or in Paris in June, walking the lovely Parisian streets. Or maybe looking out the veranda of your villa in Santorini with the love of your life, or with your best friends, or by yourself. It doesn’t matter.

As long as your heart is full and your soul content.

Go ahead love, imagine that future. Then go for it.
