Lady Gaga came into our lives a decade ago and is still going strong in the limelight. Though she’s slowed down on music production in the past few years, she’s picked up plenty of new projects — acting on American Horror Story, for instance, and working on a possible makeup line. It only makes sense that her next big feat is hitting the big screen.

Gaga will star in the remake of the 1937 film A Star Is Born alongside Bradley Cooper. And looking at the first trailer, Mother Monster is basically unrecognizable.

The movie is about a woman who longs to be a singer, but can’t seem to make it. At least, not until she meets an idol who’s career seems to me on the decline. The two fall in love and, from the look of it, do what they can to boost each other into the limelight and follow their dreams.

But really, I’m not going to watch it for the storyline. I’m going to watch it to watch Lady Gaga fall in love with Bradley Cooper, a pairing I never could have foreseen in a million years. Hey, I’m here for it.

A Star Is Born is scheduled to be released on October 5, 2018. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
