Kim Kardashian’s Kids Don’t Even Know She’s Famous

Kim Kardashian may be a household name all over the nation — and world — but in her own, she’s just “Mommy.” According to the social media mogul, her children have no idea she’s famous.

Kardashian’s three kids with Kanye West — North, 5, Saint, 2, and Chicago, 5 months — are too young to grasp their parents’ level of fame, and Kardashian wants to keep it that way for now.

“It’s pretty intense, but at home I’m not known,” Kardashian said on ITV’s This Morning. “My kids have no clue what’s going on. So I don’t really feel it — I spend most of my time at home.”

Of course, Kardashian won’t be able to hide her children from her brand forever. It’s inevitable that by a certain age, they’re going to start hearing about their Mom everywhere — on social media, in the news, from peers. In fact, some of the Kardashian children are beginning to understand just how famous their family actually is. Kourney’s oldest child, Mason, is just beginning to realize where his famous family stands in the world.

“It’s funny now that Mason is getting older,” said Khloé Kardashian. “He knows. He doesn’t watch it, but I’ve heard him talk to his friends and say, ‘I’m on a TV show called Keeping Up with the Kardashians.’ I’m like, how does he know that?!”

But at least the family makes an effort to keep their kids shielded from the limelight. The longer the kids don’t realize how famous their parents are, the better.
