Kim Kardashian Says She Isn’t Opposed To Running For President

By

On today’s episode of Things I Never Want To Happen, Kim Kardashian West said she isn’t opposite to running for presidential office. And with that, all my hopes and dreams for this country has been crushed.

To be fair, Kardashian didn’t say she’s going to run for president, just that she would consider it.  It all started on CNN’s The Van Jones Show, where she spoke about about her advocacy for prison reform, especially concerning Alice Marie Johnson, a formerly incarcerated woman who’d been serving a life sentence for a first-time drug offense. Kardashian had met with Trump to ask him to pardon Johnson, and he surprisingly agreed.

“I honestly saw that if I could use my platform just to do something for one person, that it opens the conversation for so much more and for other people to want to do the same thing,” Kardashian told Jones.

So it’s not that surprising that the conversation turned political, especially when Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, has been pretty loud about his own hope of running for office one day. When Jones asked whether or not Kardashian would run for president someday, her response was not as negative as I’d hope.

“I guess never say never,” she said. “But that’s not going to be like, Kim’s running. That’s not where I am.”

But even if Kardashian isn’t ready to take on the political ring, she still hopes to continue advocating for prison reform, especially concerning women. Now this is the Kim Kardashian I can get behind.
