John Cena’s Live TV Love Confession To Ex Nikki Bella Is Giving Us All The Feels

Youtube / Today

In April, wrestler and actor John Cena and wrestler and model Nikki Bella broke off their engagement just a month before the wedding date. And while it hasn’t been long since they separated, the two are already thinking about the possibility of being together again, maybe even in the near future.

Cena opened up about his heartbreak earlier this week during his appearance on Today. He said he’d had his heart broken “out of nowhere” when Bella broke up with him, but he wasn’t going to give up on her yet.

“I love her. I want to be with her,” Cena said. “I want to make her my wife. I want to be the father of her children. I just want us to work.”

This is a pretty big deal, since Cena has been pretty clear since the start of their relationship that he didn’t want to have kids. But it looks like he’s reprioritized in hopes of finally marrying Bella in the future, claiming, “I don’t want anyone else.” According to Cena, Bella has changed him:

“If you look at me five years ago, stubborn, selfish, self-focused. Life had always been about me. And then slowly over time this woman waltzes in and just steals my heart, and whether I want to realize it or not, she becomes my number one, so I’m willing to back on all these things I say, and a lot of them I was hanging on to just out of stubbornness.”

Cena said he wanted to be happy, even if that meant her taking some time for herself to figure things out. But at the end of the day, he knows he just wants to be with her.

Later that day, during an interview with Extra TV, Bella was asked about how she felt about Cena’s comments. After the interviewer read Cena’s comments back to her, Bella seemed genuinely taken aback.

“Wow,” she said. “Well, I’m speechless.”

Bella later went on to say that she hopes both she and Cena live happily ever after, whether they’re together or apart. Hopefully, for their sake and for ours, it’ll be together. Thought Catalog Logo Mark
