This Man Found A Hidden Present From His Father Four Years After He Died And It’ll Pull At Your Heartstrings

There’s nothing quite as devastating as losing a loved one. Even when they’re no longer in your life, somehow, they still are — through memories, through objects, through tiny legacies they left behind.

Twitter user Connor‘s dad used to collect rubber ducks he’d find on walks and hide them around the house. After his death, Connor thought he had found them all, but four years later, he came across this:

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling pretty emotional rn.

Connor’s dad seems like he was a really special guy, that’s for sure.

Somehow, we have a feeling Connor’s dad is sending us all a message.

Cherish the moments with people in your life, and love the little pieces of them they leave with you, even while they’re alive. Someday, they’ll feel more important than you ever thought they could. TC mark

This is me letting you go

If there’s one thing we all need to stop doing, it’s waiting around for someone else to show up and change our lives. Just be the person you’ve been waiting for.

At the end of the day, you have two choices in love – one is to accept someone just as they are and the other is to walk away.

We owe it to ourselves to live the greatest life that we’re capable of living, even if that means that we have to be alone for a very long time.

“Everyone could use a book like this at some point in their life.” – Heather
