You can say what you want about the Florida shooting survivors (except that they’re crisis actors — please don’t say that), but you can’t say that they aren’t getting their point across. It’s been a little over two weeks since the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School left 17 of their peers and mentors dead, and since then there have already been several other school shootings — and even more that had been planned.
This morning, two were shot dead in a domestic incident at Central Michigan University, which, unfortunately, didn’t come as a huge surprise to many people, especially after everything that’s happened in the past few weeks.
URGENT INFORMATION: There has been a report of a shooting on the campus of Central Michigan University. MPPD is assisting @cmupd with the situation. The shooter has not yet been apprehended. Please remain aware of your surroundings and call 911 to report suspicious activity

Some of the Florida shooting survivors have taken to Twitter to make a point: that nothing is going to change unless someone does something to make that change. That we cannot let this become the norm. That their classmates deaths will not be in vain.

“This is enough. These guys need to know that they won’t control us anymore and we will put an end to the slaughter of our kids.”
