This Man Finally Met The 81-Year-Old Woman He Befriended On ‘Words With Friends’ And Their Whole Story Will Warm Your Heart

Do you know what I love most about the Internet? It connects you to people you wouldn’t otherwise have met in a million years. Sure, there’s a lot of things that can go wrong when you’re allowed to be a faceless, nameless person, but it also forces us to interact with someone without knowledge of their race, gender, or age. You could become friends with quite literally anyone.

Like this guy, Spencer Sleyon, who randomly made a new friend while playing Words With Friends last summer. I doubt he ever imagined he’d become friends with an 80-year-old woman, but one year later, he found himself on a plane to Florida to meet her for the first time.

Seriously, just take a moment to admire how adorable these two are.

Just look at those smiles!

According to The Root, Sleyon and the woman, Rosalind “Roz” Guttman, knew they were going to be friends early on. Sleyon loved that Guttman used the word “phat” in one of the first games they played while Guttman was enamored with Sleyon’s username, FUCKFACEFILTH. Sleyon allegedly told people she was his best friend. If that’s not a friendship that’s supposed to last, I’m not sure what is.

The two talked about everything from politics to the election to hurricanes, and Sleyon even asked her for advice when he was trying to decide to move to New York for his music career. “Always reach for the stars,” she told him.

Okay, I’m tearing up, and I’m not the only one. People on Twitter seriously couldn’t handle the cute.

It also inspired others to share their emotional Words With Friends stories.

God bless the amazing people who can put aside their differences and become friends anyway. These two are actually perfect.
