Each generation is projected to be smarter than the rest, and at this rate we’re looking at having a future full of little mini geniuses. Seriously, why are elementary school kids smarter than me? I don’t know whether to be upset or just incredibly impressed.
Like this third grader, who wrote a poem that is about ten times better than anything I’ve ever written. Like, go third grader! But also, what the fuck?

The poem, titled “The True Feminine”, features lines such as, “I am a church bell, gonging out wrongs and rights and normal nights,” as well as, “I am a rich pie strong with knowledge. I will not be eaten.”
Just let that soak in. This third grader is truly better at metaphors than you’ll ever be.
Unsurprisingly, everyone is super impressed by this Gen Z Sylvia Plath.

I’m gonna need some time to truly process this. In the meantime, I’m going to reread tf out of that poem. Say it with me, everyone: “I am a rich pie strong with knowledge.”
