Sorry Ladies, Science Says Your Boyfriend Will Probably Cheat On You With Your Best Friend

By

No one wants to believe their significant other is cheating on them, but if they are, they really better not be cheating on you with someone you care about. You know, like your friend. Your BEST friend.

Well, ladies, all your fears are true: according to this study, your boyfriend is most likely to cheat on you with your best friend. That’s right — be prepared for double the heartbreak.

Australian jewelry company Forktip surveyed 5,000 people about cheating in their relationships, and though most men claimed they’d never cheated before, the ones who did admit to it definitely tended to gravitate toward one person. That’s right — 40% of men admitted to cheating, and the majority said it was with their partner’s best friend.

Um, excuse me, but what ever happened to loyalty??? I honestly feel so attacked by these results.

If you’re like me and have a lot of hot friends, this definitely isn’t what you want to hear. What, am I supposed to be worried about how close my boo is standing to Jessica every time we go out?

But have no fear, you don’t ONLY have to worry about your boyfriend cheating on you with your best friend — you ALSO have to worry about them cheating on you with their co-workers and, to a much smaller degree, your family members (at least it’s less likely to happen?).

Hopefully you get yourself one of those good, loyal boys who don’t want to fuck your best friend, but if you don’t, you might want to reconsider taking him back. The guys who admitted to cheating overwhelmingly tended to cheat more than once (a whopping 52.4% admitted to cheating multiple times and 31.2% admitted to ongoing affairs), which verifies the age old adage that “once a cheater, always a cheater.” If you find out your boyfriend’s been seeing someone behind your back, you’d better kick them to the curb before they start hooking up with your BFF from high school.
