This Rapper Started A GoFundMe To Prove The Earth Is Actually Flat

Okay so who can I blame for starting up this whole Flat Earth thing??? I thought we’d left behind that theory centuries ago, but, um, okay.

For those of you who haven’t heard, some people adamantly believe that the Earth is not a sphere, but simply a flat disk just chillin’ in the middle of the universe, and I am still not sure how that is any more believable but whatever. Even some celebrities have jumped on board, like reality star Tila Tequila (though I’m not sure I’d believe anything she ever said) and NBA player Kyrie Irving (though he recently admitted he was just trolling when he said he believed the Earth was indeed flat).

But do you know who isn’t playing? Rapper B.o.B., who’s best known for his songs “Nothing On You” and “Airplanes”. He has yet to see the curve, and he will not rest till he does.

Like a true scientific maverick, B.o.B. has decided to take this mission into his own hands by launching several satellites to see what the world REALLY looks like from afar. (Spoiler alert: IT IS NOT FLAT.) But, of course, he can’t do it without the financial means, so he’s turned to crowdfunding. In the name of science, of course.

In his GoFundMe, which he titled, “Show BoB The Curve”, the rapper wrote:

What’s up guys! Help support B.o.B purchase and launch one, if not multiple, satellites into space. He’s donated 1k to the cause to get it going, and will be keeping you updated with step-by-step documentation of the process! Help B.o.B find the curve!
The page has been up for four days and has only garnered about $1,700 of the $200,000 goal. B.o.B. still has a way to go until he can prove to us all that we are living our meaningless lives on an oversized frisbee. Never mind that NASA and, I don’t know, any person who has traveled overseas already realizes that this is NOT how that works.
So, yeah. Donate to him if you want to. Laugh at him if you prefer. Why does any of this even matter, anyway? Unless finding out of the Earth is flat can get me out of paying my bills, I really dgaf.
