This ‘Hunger Games’ Theme Park Will Let You Live Out All Your Dystopian Fantasies

By

If you don’t already feel like you’re living in a dystopian wasteland, Lionsgate is here to help you: as of right now, they’re planning to build a Hunger Games theme park.

Yep, that’s right — you can now escape your own fucked up reality to indulge in a new one! Yay!

The theme park, which will be built in South Korea, will allow you to immerse yourself in the Hunger Games world, which is… unsettling, honestly. Are you telling me that for a small fee I can leave behind the Nazis in the U.S. to face the fascists in Panem? Now that’s the vacation I truly needed.

Is this all part of the new spinoff craze? Are we stepping it up a notch from sequels and going straight to giant, immersive IRL experiences? I’m not sure how to feel about this. I get franchises want money, but this is getting out of hand. Can’t we all just rewatch the movies, have a nice cry, and move on with our lives? No? Ok.

Anyway, the park is set to open in 2019. With our luck, by then, every day will already be the Hunger Games.
