Chris Pratt and Anna Faris Are Separating And Love Is Officially Dead

By

Rarely do I care about celebrity relationships, but few have felt as relatable and #fated as Anna Faris and Chris Pratt. So when I heard they were separating, I was understandably devastated.

I mean, how couldn’t I be? In a 2015 interview, Chris Pratt literally said he believed he and Anna were literally soulmates. “Anna and I are meant to be together,” he said in a Reddit AMA. “Our relationship has made me believe in divine intervention and destiny, just as much as my crazy career and the way I fell into this life.”

Do you hear that? DIVINE INTERVENTION.

But as of yesterday, Pratt posted to his Facebook fan page that the couple was officially donezo.

Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.

I just don’t understand. Am I supposed to be OK with this???

The two met in 2007 on the set of Take Me Home Tonight, which ended up being a box office flop. However, the two immediately clicked, solidifying their friendship, as Faris was married at the time. However, her marriage was reaching an end, and by the next year she and Pratt were engaged.

What’s so sad about this couple breaking up is that they always just seemed so fun. They were the kind of relationship so many of us aspired to have — not just a partnership, but a friendship. They just seemed so into each other, in so many different ways. They aren’t just losing their spouses, but their best friends.

So, if they couldn’t make it, who can? Which couple are we going to lose next???

I swear, if something happens to the Obamas, I am officially done with this life.
