This Guy Thought He Was Reading The Harry Potter Books, But It Was Actually A Raunchy Fanfiction

OK, so we’re all guilty of reading a little Harry Potter fanfiction now and then in our lives (oh, just me?), but I can honestly say that I’ve never read a Harry Potter fanfiction and thought, “Huh, this really holds up to the original.” Apparently, that is not always the case.

Twitter-user Shelley Zhang’s friend decided to read Harry Potter for the first time, so he ordered the books in a set. The problem is, he didn’t quite get the right ones…

OK, so the facts are a little off. Any ~true~ Harry Potter fan knows that Dudley doesn’t meet his death in the books, even though the rules of karma honestly point to the fact that he should’ve.

But it’s not just that strange incident. As it turns out, these books take a very different turn than the children’s book series that we all know and love…

Literally so much happens, I don’t understand how they can even fit it into seven books, let alone one.

Let’s just say it had some sexier situations than we’re used to seeing our favorite trio in.

But, like, a dark kind of sexy.

OK, this one’s a little NSFW (or if you’re a Harry Potter fan, NSFL):

OK, so I haven’t read that fanfiction, but I’m not gonna lie — it sounds pretty damn interesting.

Also, Shelley decided to troll her friend a little, because why not? It’s the perfect opportunity.

The moral of the story is that the Internet is both a terrible and wonderful place. Also: double-check what you’re buying before you buy it. TC mark

This is me letting you go

If there’s one thing we all need to stop doing, it’s waiting around for someone else to show up and change our lives. Just be the person you’ve been waiting for.

At the end of the day, you have two choices in love – one is to accept someone just as they are and the other is to walk away.

We owe it to ourselves to live the greatest life that we’re capable of living, even if that means that we have to be alone for a very long time.
