This Teacher Brought Her Son To Class Dressed As Godzilla And People On Twitter Can’t Get Over How Cute He Is

Be still my heart — this teacher brought her son to her class in a Godzilla costume and I don’t think I’m the only person on the Internet who’s completely flipping out over it.

Instructor Erika Biga Lee’s son Max is a huge fan of Godzilla — he’s gone to the Godzilla museum in Chicago twice and even dressed up as the monster for Halloween. So when she decided to bring him along to one of her classes when he had a day off of school, it was only natural that he wanted to bring his costume with them, too. The result was absolutely adorable.

I literally cannot handle the cute. I may be typing this, but I promise you, I cannot speak because I am too busy saying “awwwwww” every five seconds.

My ~heaaart~

According to Nathaniel Ferguson, the undergraduate instructor that tweeted out the photos, Max hadn’t originally planned on wearing the costume. But after some coaxing from his mother and the other students, he donned the suit and walked around the classroom.

The students’ faces say it all.

Let’s get a closer look, shall we?

Overall, Max got a positive response from the students — in fact, that last photo was of a girl tearing up over how cute he was.

“Mostly the reactions were very good, lots of holding back tears or ‘aww’ing,” Ferguson said. “Some students didn’t really care one way or another, but the reactions are all pretty evidenced in the photos.”

Of course, people on Twitter were just as moved by the mini Godzilla as the rest of us.

He even inspired this person enough to make him into her phone background, which is more than I can say for myself.

It turns out, this isn’t the first time Max has appeared before a crowd in costume. Apparently last year his mom brought him to her class dressed up as a T-Rex, which is just as adorable.

I am never going to get over this.

Brb, gotta go plan all the costumes I’m going to make my future children wear every time we leave the house.
