We’ve all had some complaints about landlords — terrible maintenance, bad communication or just a bad relationship in general — but Masaaki Imaeda might win the title of worst landlord ever for secretly recording his tenants having sex.

Imaeda rented his property to a young married couple, who later found a post online warning people about the landlord. Upon further investigation, the couple found a camera in the bedroom ceiling that faced the large mirror on the wall, giving the camera a clear view of the bed.
Later, the authorities were also able to find cameras in light fixtures, TVs and even a smoke alarm.

If that’s not creepy enough, the police also found the shed where Imaeda kept his recording equipment — and also where he watched the video footage. The shed was equipped with a recliner chair and a foot massager, which is pretty reminiscent to a horror movie, if you ask me.

Imaeda pled guilty in court and is now serving 18 months in jail.
Well, at least it makes your terrible landlord seem a lot better.
