Have you ever looked back on a failed relationship and thought, “Wow, I wish I had a way to commemorate how terribly everything ended”? No? Well, here’s an idea for you anyway. We’ve heard of pregnancy photos and engagement photos, but here’s something new: breakup photos.

Jackie and Harrison were together for three and a half years before their long-distance relationship became too stressful for them. They broke up in 2015, but over a year later, Harrison had the idea of reuniting for one last photo shoot. Why? Well, why not.

He said that he was used to seeing his friends post professional photos of relationship milestones, like anniversaries and engagements, and decided he wanted to do the same post-relationship. And, for some reason I will probably never be able to fathom, Jackie agreed.

The couple said that while they had to fake their sadness for the camera at first, it soon became very real. “Taking those pictures felt like slipping right back into our relationship — the good and bad,” Jackie said.
