Be The Person Who Does What They Love

When you picture yourself happy, what is it that you’re doing? No, I don’t mean sitting in a beach chair with a piña colada in the Dominican. I mean your future. Your future self will live everyday doing what you love, looking forward to waking up and living another day of your future life. What is that you’re doing? What is your career?
Passion is what drives us. Keeps us going, makes us feel accomplished and proud and fulfilled. And the goal of doing what we love for a living is what motivates us to work so hard to get there. But what’s the point of working hard for a life you won’t be happy with?
Don’t choose a career based on pay. Get paid to do what you love, no matter the number. Happiness is worth more than money, and there’s no way to attain it without love and passion. Money is great in the moment, but the novelty will fade. Life is too short to sacrifice your happiness. I promise you, if you are truly passionate, you will be successful. If you put enough of yourself into your passion, it will change your whole life. It will alleviate your troubles and bring you so much joy. That I can promise you.
Don’t let anyone tell you no. They may say that you’re not good enough, but you can be. If you want to improve, put more of yourself into it. You are living YOUR life, and that’s the bottom line. No one can live it for you. The people around you may think they know what’s best, or what your path should be. But they don’t. And they won’t ever.
They will never feel the joy you feel when you share your words with others or help that struggling person. Whatever it is that makes you truly happy, treasure it. Identify it and treasure it because there are so many people who have yet to find it. Use that vigor to your advantage.
You were born to be you. You have a specific purpose in this world. You’ll know for sure when you’ve found it. And no one, I repeat, no one, can feel that for you.
Believe that you can and will. Believe that against all odds, you are talented and passionate enough to do what you love. It doesn’t matter what anybody else says to or about you. All you need drive. If you put yourself into your work, it will be better. The world needs more of you.
Doing something with love means doing it because you want to, not because you have to. This world is desperately in need of gentler, happier people. These are the people who do what they love. Be one of them.
