It Appears Americans Can’t Answer Most Of These Simple Science Questions

This research from Pew Research Center shows that just 86% of Americans know that the inner core is the Earth’s hottest part, and just 34% of Americans know that water boils at lower temperatures at high altitudes.
You might know the answers to these questions, but out of the 3,278 adults surveyed, just 6% got a perfect score. Wait, so you need me to do the math for you, right? That’s 196 people. There was an incredible 28% that got half or more wrong. Wow. So, let me ask you this: are you smarter than these people?
