The comfort zone…aka your most comfortable nightmare. You’re afraid to step outside and yet you so want to. There are many things you may tell yourself in those moments of fear, but let these points be the push you need to step outside.
1. Complacency gets you nowhere.
When you get that nagging feeling that you’re meant for more, you’re right. Ignoring it because your current situation is ‘fine’ will not help you to move forward. Stepping outside of your comfort zone forces you to shake off that complacency and listen to your inner voice.
2. Challenges are a good thing and comfort zones are NOT welcome to challenge.
To some, this may sound incredulous. To me, it’s spot on. Challenges are what keeps me motivated, driven, and excited for more. They push your limits and reveal skills you never knew were there.
3. No risk, no reward.
This famous thought will never not be relevant. Taking risks may be difficult and leave you nervous in the short-term but can mean everything in the long-term. Taking risks helps you to grow as a person and will leave you with a sense of fulfillment that is spectacular.
4. You’ll learn new things.
The world is waiting for you to explore its beauty. Stepping outside of your comfort zone will lead to opportunities you never knew existed. Your understanding of the world around you will be unmatched and your appreciation for others will continue to develop.
5. Your creative juices will start flowing.
Sometimes staying in one lane leaves you very uninspired. Your mind will become frustrated and lack creative thought. Taking on something new could be the ticket to your creative thought pool. Plus, you should always be open to new thoughts and ideas.
Be open to change and never forget your passions!
