They don’t deserve how you look at them with such wonder, love, and pride as if they’re the most perfect thing God has given you.

They don’t deserve how you are always there for them when they aren’t there when you need them.

They don’t deserve how you defend and fight for them when at the end of the day, they’ll leave you for someone else.

They don’t deserve how you gave them the key to your very soul when they throw it away like a used cigarette.

But one day, you’ll find someone who is.

You’ll find someone who will be there for you when you need them.

You’ll find someone who is capable of loving you when you don’t know how to love yourself.

You’ll find someone who will embrace you and scare the nightmares that haunt you away.

You’ll find someone who won’t break your heart when you give it to them.

You’ll find someone who will take your breath away, instead of causing you to suffocate.

You’ll find someone who takes you as you are, demons and all, and never lets you go.

One day, you’ll find someone who is worthy of you.
