To All The Creatives In The World

This is a shout out to all those like me, a special breed of Human. It may seem like we’re few and far between, but there are more of us than ever. We’re “Creatives” and we owe it to everyone to ban together and make the world a better place.

Creatives are a unique kind who feel like they view the world upside down. They purposely walk against traffic because people don’t do that enough and someone has to. Mediocrity isn’t in their vocabulary, and sometimes that bites them in the ass, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.

Creatives strive for a life that’s bigger and beyond themselves. They’re the artists who see life from a different angle and refuse to give into the “norm”. They’re the ones who give hope to others, perhaps without ever knowing.

Where stars are not stars, but a map to Neverland. We never grew up and all we want to do is fly. We’re the dreamers of the world who took it to heart that we can be anything we want to be. It’s okay that we get a little lost sometimes; all great adventures have detours. Besides, who needs a map of life anyway? Not us.

I’m talking to the people who have guts to keep going after they’ve been knocked down one too many times. A Creative’s life is not easy. We are constantly rebelling against the norm, told to get “real jobs,” trying to prove to ourselves that our lives are worthy of something, ANYTHING. It’s not uncommon to work three jobs and still be broke, and we do it all to follow our passions.

I want to let you know that you’re not alone . Being different does not make you crazy, it makes you courageous. I know it’s exhausting to continue explaining to people why you don’t work the daily grind of a 9-5 job. (Our brains aren’t built for that lifestyle, so we’re not going to force ourselves into a miserable situation) Don’t make yourself do something that doesn’t make you happy, because how are you supposed to spread joy when you are not joyful yourself?

This world needs people like you, now more than ever. The world needs people who aren’t afraid of taking the difficult path. Not everyone can live the life of a Creative. You are uniquely made! Take hold of that and never let it go. When there are barriers and things blocking you, You CANNOT give up! There are people who need someone to give them hope, courage, and strength. YOU are that someone.

Maybe you’re sitting at your desk hiding behind your computer, or perhaps you’re too scared to peek out from under your sheets. But you’re out there, and you know who you are.

Please don’t give into mediocrity. Paint, dance, sing, write, take pictures, follow your passions, LIVE LIFE!

Not everyone has the ability to see the world like we do, and it’s our duty to share that. You never know whose life you might change.
