I watched the way you used to look at her. You looked at her like you looked at every other person in your life. There was no light in your eye when you saw her for the first time in weeks. There was no big giddy smile that came across your face as she said hello to you. There was nothing and I’ll never believe that you truly loved her when she poured her heart out and constantly got nothing in return.
You broke her heart by not giving her the love she needed and by doing that, she had to do what was best for her in the long run and leave you.
Do you know how much this hurt her?
Do you know she couldn’t leave her bed for weeks because she truly loved you, and she still does, trust me.
I watched her cry over this decision for months. I listened to her talk about how much she loved you and how she doesn’t understand how you can treat her like you do.
Staying with you was slowly breaking her heart, but she knew leaving you would kill her.
But it was like you were asking for her to break up with you for being so cruel and unaffectionate towards her.
After years together and months of thinking on it she knew that she had to leave.
And guess what, she’s found someone new.
She found someone who is crazy about her, actually head over heels crazy about her. He constantly looks at her like she’s the only person in the world. He treats her nice and shows her compassion. He does nice things for her and always goes out of his way to make sure she’s happy.
He’s a wonderful person and if you ever cared about her, you should be happy for her.
He already knows she’s a fussy eater, he knows she won’t eat anything with sauce. He knows she loves animals and has a special place in her heart for cats. He knows she loves to take pictures and he always smiles in them for her. He knows she can’t drink milk so he orders her special hot chocolates and coffees.
He brings her medicine and care packages when she’s sick, even when she tells him not to come. He always comes to her games and supports her when she plays. He always puts her before himself and makes sure she’s happy.
This might be hard for you to comprehend, but I want to thank you for breaking my best friends heart because now she’s happy, she’s actually really happy. She has found someone who treats her like she deserves and she’s really into him, too.
She’s not over you yet completely, she still talks about you from time to time, but you had her in the palm of your hands and you got complacent.
You stopped doing the little things and ultimately you stopped giving her the love she needs.
You broke her heart, but she found herself in the arms of someone new, someone who loves every piece of hair on her head. So thank you for not loving her the way she deserved because now she’s found someone who does.
