I don’t want you in the way most do. I don’t want to love you in a physical way. I don’t want to take your clothes off and give into you. I don’t have to keep myself from loving you. I don’t fanaticize about being with you. I don’t have to try to keep my hands off of you.

I’m in love with the way you see the world. You see it so positively, even though you know that it is full of horrible occurrences. You know how dark it can be. You’ve taken one too many wrong turns and gone down some rough roads, but you always found your way back. You know how cruel and unfair things turn out sometimes, but you’re not naïve enough to think you’re the only one struggling. You put on a happy face, smile and make the best of every day. I love you for that.

I’m in love with your thoughts, with the way you think deeply and take everything into consideration. I can’t even figure out what’s going on in your head most of the time. You bring deep conversation to a whole new level. The way your mind works intrigues me completely, you’re not an average person by any means and I love you for that.

I’m in love with the way you laugh, you have a laugh like no other I’ve ever heard and it has a ripple effect on everyone who’s around you. I also know that under that laugh is someone who isn’t always full of joy, but pretends to be for everyone around them. The more you know people around you are down, the more laughs, smiles and encouragement you bring because you know what it feels like to be hurting and have no one there for you.

They are there and they are real, but you still laugh throughout the day. You know that by being you, you are helping someone else through their own tough times and I love you for that.

I’m in love with the person you’ve become. You’ve worked hard, you’ve worked so hard. I wish you could see yourself through my eyes because I’m proud of you. You spend so much of your free time doing things to help people, you want to see everyone around you succeed and I want the same for you. I want you to live out your dreams and your passions and I know you will because I have that confidence instilled in you now. You learned that who you’ve been doesn’t mean that’s who you’ve got to be now. You’ve come a long way, and I know you’ve still got miles left to go and I love you for that.

I love you for the scars you have on your body and how you aren’t ashamed of the stories behind them. I love you for the passion you bring to every thing in your life. I love you because you don’t try to hide the things that bring you pain. I love you for how tough your spirit is; you don’t like the weight of the world bring you down. I love you for the path that has brought you here because it has made you into the person I now know and love.
