The One Thing Each of Us Should Do To Be Noticed By Others

By

As an avid reader of various blogs and popular sites for 20-somethings, I am seeing a trend that makes me quite upset. The phenomenon that is the “10 things you can do to be more attractive to men” or “10 things you can do to be more attractive to women” posts have got to stop.

Now.

Have we sunk that low as a society that we feel the need to make lists of things that change who we are as individuals, just to be potentially noticed by others?

Is having one’s hair a certain way or having six-pack abs the only thing that any of us are good for now?

What makes me sad is to think that we have become so consumed with outer appearance that we lose sight of what is truly important—

Let me spell this out a little bit….

We are all made in the image and likeness of an amazing God, who created us just as we are—and God does not make mistakes. So, who are we to say “Do this or that”, in order to be recognized? I don’t think so.

With my mini-rant above, I want to propose something different….

“The One Thing Each of Us Should Do To Be Noticed By Others.”

Be Yourself. There is beauty in authenticity.
